Toby commenced with the firm in 2017. In 2018, he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Laws from the Queensland University of Technology and completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice before being admitted as a Solicitor to both the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. During this time, Toby has been exposed to, and gained valuable experience in, a number of practice areas including criminal, leasing and commercial law.

Toby has appeared in a wide range of criminal matters from the Children’s Court to the Supreme Court of Queensland. He also has experience in Crime and Corruption Commission, Workplace Health and Safety and Office of Fair Trading investigations and extensive experience in traffic offences.

Toby’s leasing practice sees him advise both corporations and individuals on matters arising from commercial and retail shop leases. He prides himself on his precise drafting and attention to detail to ensure the best result possible outcome for his client whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism.

The commercial aspect of Toby’s practice sees him advise clients on an array of matters including insurance and professional negligence claims, contractual disputes, claims of legal professional privilege and resumption of land.

Toby’s diverse practice allows him to hone his skills as an advocate whilst engaging in complex problem solving and high level negotiation. Toby’s tireless work ethic, combined with his personable approach and ability to communicate complicated concepts to counsel, colleagues, experts and clients makes him a highly valued member of the team and an effective solicitor.
